The Area - Halford Hill
Halford Hill is located on the High Street
as you enter into Llanberis village. Llanberis is the village
at the foot of Snowdon by Padarn Lake. The house is located
a few hundred yards from shops, including a bakery, butchers,
general store, chemist, bank, outdoor shops, post office,
restaurants including a Bistro, Chinese and Indian as well
as the famous Petes Eats café there are fish and
chip shops and pubs about 100 yards from the house.
In Llanberis there are many attractions including
the Snowdon Mountain Railway, Lanberis Lake Railway, the
National Slate Museum and the Power of Wales exhibition
which includes a tour of the Hydro electric Power Station
built into the moutain. In addition there is boating and
watersports on the lake as well as a lake cruise and walks
in the Padarn Country Park.
There are many beautiful, large, sandy beaches
(within 25m), some with Blue flags status.The beaches are
located all around the North Wales coast and on Anglesey.
The area is ideal for having an active holiday, taking advantage
of all the facilities and attractions locally, or for just
relaxing and slowing down and taking in the beautiful scenery.
You can either enjoy short scenic walks from the house or
tackle same of the famous 14 Peaks over 3000 feet.

From Chester direction on the A55 leave at the Bangor
exit, turn left and immediately right signposted Llanberis,
onto the B4366, go past the services. Follow this road
for a few miles until you reach a roundabout, turn
left, again signposted to Llanberis onto the B4547.
Go to the end of this road, at the T junction turn
left onto the A4086, signposted Llanberis. |
Keep on this
road. As you enter Llanberis turn off the A4086 and follow
the signs
to the Llanberis village centre. The
house is almost the first on the left with black and white
railings. There is a gate to the left of the property leading
to some parking to the rear.
